Wow, this hat is gorgeous! I bought this hat for my husbands' Father's Day gift. I was skeptical of how the cotton/distressed look would be. I was pleasantly surprised at the execution. Although it's cotton it's still a bit heavy, perfect for cooler weather. The brown turned out to be much darker, not as shown in picture. Perhaps the dyes vary? Definitely recommend.
